Roman Wall at San Rocco
|
|
In
San Rocco, along the route of today’s SS Flaminia and along
the course of the Burano river, the ruins of structures relative
to the Roman Consular Road emerge from the vegetation. In
particular, the vestiges of a support wall in large
parallelepiped blocks of local Cornelian are visible; the
construction technique used dates it to the Augustan Age.
