Typical
construction of the XVI century, it was probably constructed
next to a farm. Inside, in the upper part, there were also
living quarters; the doves nested in the lower part of the
building. The use of this type of construction was used both for
the production of meat, as well as for hunting which required
the training of hawks used by the local nobles in their hunting
battues. Dovecotes also made it possible to gather the birds’
excrement which was used for fertiliser.
