Dovecote

Typical construction of the XVI century, it was probably constructed next to a farm. Inside, in the upper part, there were also living quarters; the doves nested in the lower part of the building. The use of this type of construction was used both for the production of meat, as well as for hunting which required the training of hawks used by the local nobles in their hunting battues. Dovecotes also made it possible to gather the birds’ excrement which was used for fertiliser.

Recently the dovecote was restored.
